About Us
Blackmore Timber Engineering Ltd was incorporated in 2008 and is owned and managed by Nick and John Baker. Based in central Dorset we offer bespoke timber frame design, manufacture and erection services typically in the South West, but can supply frames to companies and individuals throughout the UK .
Nick Baker BEng, MEng
Nick’s background is in civil engineering and building. After graduating from The University of Plymouth, he worked as part of the design team on a £30m coast protection and land stabilisation scheme in Lyme Regis, Dorset. Following completion of this project Nick went on to run his own building contracting business.
John Baker
John has over 20 years experience in the woodworking industry both running his own cabinet making business and teaching furniture making as a college lecturer. John’s teaching experience includes health and safety training as well as practical woodworking skills.
